Kaftan
Every Naylara kaftan in one place - 300+ styles from beach cotton to embellished takchita, US sizes 0-22.
About our kaftans
The kaftan is the most versatile garment a wardrobe can hold: a flowing, floor-length silhouette born in the Middle East and North Africa, worn for centuries from Moroccan royal courts to Mediterranean beaches. It skims the body rather than clinging to it, which is why it flatters every figure and every age.
This page gathers our complete collection. Start with Moroccan caftans for the authentic tradition, embellished styles for weddings and evenings, beach kaftans for holidays, or plus size for verified US 14-22 fits. Every product lists real garment measurements - our size guide shows exactly how each piece fits before you order.
New styles join throughout the season in New In, and past-season favorites move to the sale.

The Kaftan Guide
How to choose your kaftan
Choose by occasion first, fabric second. Weddings and galas call for embellished or velvet pieces; everyday and travel lean toward cotton and casual styles; poolside belongs to cover-ups. Then check the measurement table on the product page - bust is the number that matters most.
What is a kaftan?
A kaftan (also spelled caftan) is a loose, ankle-length robe with wide sleeves, worn across North Africa and the Middle East for over a thousand years. Modern kaftans range from casual beach cover-ups to formal embroidered gowns worn at weddings and religious celebrations.
How should a kaftan fit?
A kaftan should skim, not cling. The shoulders and bust set the fit - the rest of the garment is designed to flow. If you are between sizes, size down, as kaftans are cut with generous ease. Each Naylara product lists its real garment measurements in both inches and centimeters.
What do you wear under a kaftan?
For opaque fabrics, regular underwear is all you need. For lighter chiffons and cottons, a slip dress or matching-tone shorts and camisole work well. Beach kaftans are designed to be worn over swimwear.
